Kelsey

Kelsey

Our weimaraner Kelsey, has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. She passed peacefully in her sleep at home on her own terms at 15 years 5 months. A great old age for a big dog. Kelsey made me proud of her in so many ways. She was my first flyball girl. She started racing when she was 4 and during her 8 years as a flyball dog was the first Weimaraner in NAFA to reach FGDCH, FG40K & FG50K racing points. She immediately loved the game and if not for her unending enthusiasm and talent I would not be in flyball today. For many years she was a staple on a Matsqui team. She was a ball fiend and could always be counted on to dig in and give it her all. She taught me so much and gave her unconditional love and companionship since we adopted her at 8 weeks old. She had such a big heart. Even when her body was failing her she still wanted to tour the yard & be with me outside. Kelsey was a wonderful friend that we loved so much, will be greatly missed & never replaced. I am heartened by thoughts of her bounding in a grassy meadow, fully restored and youthful, waiting for us to meet again.

Rest in peace, Kelsey doll.
